After completing the Kickstarter Program, the next aim of focus is to improve your child’s awareness and control of their body, during arguably the most crucial stage of their development. Between the ages of 10 and 15 years boys and girls undergo exponential growth and experience mass changes in their body chemistry. These changes result in an uncertainty of themselves and how they fit into the athletic world. It is vital to ensure that your child is able to cope with the changes happening within their body and be able to correctly apply their newly developed skills from the Kickstarter Program to their bright athletic futures. The HP Junior Program aims to ‘super-size’ this development phase and catapult these children from ordinary to extraordinary by improving their strength, balance, power and core stability.
The HP Junior Program involves 3 phases: Total Development 101, High Performance Foundations & Sport Specific HP Development.
Total Development 101 focuses of on the total development of your child’s three biggest weaknesses. Once these weaknesses have been targeted and improved, your child will be at a level that promotes the greatest returns from their training, whether it be on the playing fields or at our sessions.
The next phase is High Performance Foundations which promotes the development of all round sport specific foundations. The aim here is not to improve the ability of an athlete to be better at a specific sport, but rather to be better at any sport through strength, speed, power and core development. These are the fundamental fitness parameters needed in all sports and once fully developed will promote the success of any athlete in any sport.
Sport Specific HP Development is the last stage of the HP Junior program and it is during this time that your child is nearing the end of the mass development stage their life. This is where we jump in and start to really knuckle down on the nitty-grittyies of their sports specific development. This involves an analysis of the sport and the needs of the athlete to ensure all goals are targeted and promote the development of a sport specific athlete.
