What does a sports science assessment test?
An ASP Sports Science Assessment is a 60-minute session at Wanderers Club in Illovo. It is the entry point into how we work: we measure the athlete before we prescribe the work.
What we look at
- Speed and acceleration
- Agility and change of direction
- Power
- Movement and running mechanics (including video)
- Broader physical performance
What you get afterwards
Results are analysed, compared in an appropriate performance context using ASP's historical athlete data, and written into an individual report — typically within 48 hours. You then meet the Sports Director online to walk through the findings and leave with an action plan.
It costs R750. It is designed for young athletes and ambitious parents who are tired of guessing. It is not a medical diagnosis, and it does not claim to predict injury. It tells you where the athlete is, and what is worth developing next.
